    All racism is sad, and with the U.S. and Mexico it’s even more sad because we’re all here to stay and have to share the New World. Not just anthropologically, but historically, the U.S. foisted a de facto apartheid on brown-skinned Mexicans back in 1848 after taking half of their territory for its whites-only homeland, leaving sawed-off Mexico eternally dependent, with an unsealable 2K-mi. border that breeds nothing but trouble. After 160 years, the chickens are coming home to roost. What is the solution? Make the border go poof by expanding it to the Mexican coasts, via a bipartisan Congress inviting Mexico’s people to forgive past grudges and dissolve their failed country in exchange for statehood and full phased-in citizenship, after which all 414 million Americans can finally work on the same team and map to chase the Great American Dream sans racism.
